The Northern District of California ruled today that firm client The Sustainable Aviation Foundation, Inc. and its founder Dr. Brien Seeley may proceed with their Sustainable Aviation Symposium, rejecting a motion for a preliminary injunction filed by plaintiff CAFE Foundation, Inc. A federal judge granted Singer / Bea’s application for a temporary restraining order in Sumotext Corp. v. Zoove, Inc., No. 5:16-cv-01370-BLF (N.D. Singer / Bea Successfully Navigates Another Trademark Case

Another Singer / Bea client is happily out of litigation today with the filing of a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice in the trademark case Orion Pictures Corp. v. Orion Entertainment, Inc., No. CV 15-01464-PSG (C.D. Cal).  In the end, the successful termination resulted from the analysis and advocacy of partner Benjamin Singer and associate Walt Pfeffer.  

Singer / Bea Wins Two Separate Dismissals for Intuitive Surgical, Inc.

Singer/Bea recently obtained dismissals, prior to discovery, of two lawsuits brought against Intuitive Surgical, the designer and manufacturer of the da Vinci robotic surgical system.

In the first action, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, a hospital system agreed to purchase the da Vinci robot from Intuitive, and to finance its purchase through a separate financing company.  When the Hospital failed to make required payments, the financing company brought suit… full story
